Description

As it turns out life is complicated and messy and gritty and dirty. Call it simple or easy if you want, but you're lying to yourself to feel better. It's hard growing up in today's world, it's hard having friends who betray you or families that are hard to like. We all need those everlasting friends and those moments of clarity where we see our lives flash before us, and those times to be completely carefree. As we crash through the jungle of this life, we all steal a few hearts and break a few bones. But hey. That's life right?

Yes, I DO love Star Wars

I mean, how could anybody not? It's a classic! It's stood a pretty good test of time, and people are still watching it! Episodes I, II, and III have started the Star Wars craze all over again! So don't worry if I criticize JarJar or if I don't like the lines the George Lucas gave to Anakin, StarWars has seen plenty of criticism and it hasn't changed how much people love it one bit. Star Wars is an incredible movie series. For movies IV, V, and VI, Steven Spielburg used new, never-before-used technology to film Star Wars. How could Star Wars not be an awesome movie if you've got Steven Spielburg? The guy practically invented special effects! And then don't forget the secret ingredient. Take a close look at all of the movies that John Williams has done music for. Still don't see anything? Look a little closer; have you noticed that not one of his movies has ever, ever flopped?! Think about it. So my point is, that Star Wars is a classic, Star Wars is a testimony to the genius of Steven Spielburg and George Lucas. It's got the biggest fanclub, even out of LOTR and Harry Potter, and it's an awesome movie. fifteen years from now, We're going to take another look back, and say again, WOW!!! Is Star Wars great or what? It's still one of the best loved movies in history, now whadaya think about that!?

I gotta go, so I'll write later, Your StarWars loving blogger,

Katy

Ranting about Anakin

Okay, you know what? This is like one of my biggest movie pet peeves if you can call it that. two words (though I'll explain in way more than that). Anakin. Skywalker. Okey dokey time to start in on a new rant!

Okay, Anakin is this really annoying, pooey, brat who whines about everything and gets the dumbest lines. Let's start with Ep. I, ok? Anakin is played by Jake Lloyd, this cute little kid who's got the perfect looks for Anakin. But when casting him, I think they forgot one thing. The kid can't act!!! He's never had a speaking role in his entire life! Has anybody ever seen Jingle All The Way? Alright, it's got Aahnold Shwarzenegger and Jake Lloyd in it. Lloyd plays Aahnold's son and all he has to do is run around and fight over who gets to be Turboman. If they got anybody they should've gotten Haley Joel Osment! I mean, at least he can act and at least he looks some what like Hayden Christiansen! But noooo, instead they get some little kid who can't act and interrupts himself. I'm not kidding, he does actually do that. When Qui Gon Jin tells him to stay put, Anakin says, "But I-" and there's this pause before Qui Gon says "Stay in that cockpit" .I mean the kid is already a terrible actor but to interrupt himself!? If you ever become a famous actress or actor, please never interrupt yourself! And don't get me started on George Lucas' dialogue! The guy can't write dialogue worth beans! He gives Anakin lines like, "Let's try spinning, that's a good trick!" That's a good trick? That's a good trick?! I mean c'mon! Moving on to Ep. II. Anakin is now an incredibly arrogent teenager who's in love with a Senator who's ten years older and hasn't seen in 10 years. He's also a whiny show off. He likes to do "tricks" with his speeder and shows off for Padme unashamedly. ...I'll go off on a side note to say that it seriously bugs me that Padme decides to marry this really annoying whiny poohead, who she has seen become incredibly angry and kill off an entire village. "Not just the men, but women and children" straight from Anakin's own mouth!... In this movie we see Anakin become overconfident and get his had chopped off by Dooku. Now, Ep. III. Okay, the most annoying line from this movie? "It's not fair!" It's not fair? It's never been fair, they've never trusted you, and you don't get to be a Jedi Master so get over it! Why does he listen to the emperor, who everyone but him sees as a danger to the Republic! Why does he think he can abtain the power of God? And why in the world does he ask "Where's Padme?" when he wakes up? I mean come on! Where's Padme? And then he pulls a Frankenstein and -okay, enough ranting for now. I'll write about something I do like next time alright?

your worked up about Anakin, George Lucas, and Jake Lloyd blogger,

Fearful, Hopeful, or Confident?

"Change has considerable impact on the human mind.
To the fearful it is threatening because things may get worse.
To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better.
To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."

- King Whitney Jr.

I think he's right. This change, this move will happen no matter what, but my attitude and my outlook affect how I'm going to deal with it. This is something I'm going to have to ask myself sooner or later- am I fearful, am I hopeful, or am I confident? Do I think that things may get worse? Or do I think that maybe they'll get better? Or do I think that this change, this challenge exists to make things better? Is this change all bad? Or could some good come out of it if I give it a chance? Is the glass half full or half empty? It all depends on your outlook. It alll depends on your point of view. From different points of view, bad things can become good and good things can become bad. How am I going to see this?

Star Wars vs. LOTR (or Jar Jar vs. Gollum)

Okay, it's time to talk about movies. actually, my favorite movies. let's start with Lord of the Rings, the trilogy. Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but the LOTR trilogy has the most sophisticated state of the art special effects. When Star Wars first came out in the 80's, Lucas and Spielburg were hailed as the fathers of modern special effects. Though this is still true, as in they practically invented it, Peter Jackson is the guy who is, or already has, revolutionized modern special effects. Take Gollum for example, Lucas tried his best with Jar Jar Binks, but his incredibly annoying frog thing who talks weird and is otherwise known as Jar Jar Binks was ridiculed and laughed off the screen (Luckily for us, he only shows up once in Ep. III, and has one line that goes easily unnoticed). Whereas Gollum is a totally C.G. (computer Generated) character who has real facial expression, and actually acts. Gollum expresses disgust, anger, sadness...he plays both parts of pathetic, pitiful Smeagoll writhing on the ground and Gollum, bent on having his revenge and the Ring. "Let's give Jar Jar a fighting chance!" you say? Jar Jar had his chance, he was in Ep I and Ep. II, and to put it bluntly, he failed miserably. He's an idiot (i'm sorry if anyone's offended by that) who gets kicked out of his underwater world, comes back, gets made a general, gets a battledroid stuck on his foot and accidently kills a bunch of battle droids, gets made a senator, and then Sen. Padme ask Jar Jar to take her place and vote against a droid army. What does Jar Jar do? He does the opposite!!! He votes for the droid army!!! AAAAAAAAA!!!! I think I'm about to die from a stupidity overdose. Have I got my point across yet? No? Well let me spell it out for you plain and simple- I really don't like Jar Jar Binks and Gollum Rocks! Whew, I'm out of breath. Lemme catch my breath and I'll be back,
Your favorite blogger who hates Jar Jar and loves Gollum for being his opposite,

Paint

We are moving out of our house is four days, on monday, and so we have to make it look nice right? right. sooooo...the whole inside of our house is being painted white. yes, white. It looks extremely blah if you ask me, but then, nobody asked me. I have begun to extremely dislike painting (hate is such a STRONG word). and the sound of tape being ripped to tape up boxes that are carrying all of your stuff away and also that one song that's like, "Turn and face the strange, ch-ch-ch-ch-changin'" and I don't know anymore than that and it's really starting to bug me because it's stuck in my head. okay, this post has been pretty random and since I'm supposed to be painting right now and not blogging, I should probably sign off, so...
so long folks! That's all for now, your bored and slightly sad blogger,
